Pedestrian friendly

There are many ways in which a town can fail to be pedestrian friendly. European capitals such as Paris or Rome are constantly fighting against the issue of canine excrements, often using shocking – and mostly useless – advertising campaigns. This issue somehow applies to Abu Dhabi as well. Dogs are virtually non existent here but it is still advisable to watch your steps: The zebra crossing in the photo above is just outside our campus and the hole at the end of it is around one meter depth. I will be very happy when this will become a thing of the past.
